What you can Expect:

Join us on this amazing tour steeped in history. The Barbados Garrison (UNESCO World Heritage Site) served as the headquarters for the British West India Regiment during the 18th and 19th Centuries, and was the largest Garrison in the British Colonies at the time.

We will begin our tour by experiencing the underground tunnels which enabled the secret movement of soldiers.   Then we will show you some of the key buildings that make up the Garrison which include the exquisite Main Guard, the former soldiers' barracks and The  Military Prison which is now  The Barbados Museum. Here you will have an opportunity to browse the museum shop. After a journey through history tea will be served at Sweetfield Manor.  This historic hotel is  perfectly situated atop a hill which affords spectacular views over the south coast of Barbados and the Garrison Savannah. We shall then take tea in a lush tropical courtyard while the occasional peacock hopefully struts by.
